This policy explains information handling on NAPREC’s website at puertoricoequality.org and when you reach this site through naprec.org. It covers website visits, contact and membership forms, email subscriptions, donations, and store interactions. Independent services linked or embedded here have their own privacy practices.
Information you provide
When you contact us or complete a form, we receive the information you choose to submit, such as your name, email address, state or territory, optional phone number, and message. We use it to respond, administer membership and volunteer inquiries, and send the communications you request. Please do not send Social Security numbers, passwords, medical records, or other sensitive documents through general forms.
Website visits and cookies
Squarespace hosts this website. Website operation and analytics can involve IP addresses, browser and device information, pages viewed, referring links, and the timing of visits. Cookies and similar technologies support functions such as security, shopping carts, preferences, and traffic measurement. Embedded media and third-party tools may also receive technical information when they load or when you interact with them.
You can manage or delete cookies in your browser and use any cookie choices displayed on this site. Blocking cookies may affect forms, checkout, or embedded features. Email communications
If you subscribe, your contact information is used to deliver NAPREC news and opportunities to participate. Email delivery services can process delivery status, bounces, unsubscribes, and engagement information such as opens or link clicks. You can unsubscribe using the link in a campaign email or contact info@naprec.org. Transactional messages about a purchase, donation, or request may still be needed even after you unsubscribe from newsletters.
Donations and purchases
Checkout may collect contact, billing, shipping, transaction, and payment information. Squarespace and the payment provider identified at checkout process information needed to complete the transaction. For products fulfilled through Printful, order and delivery details are shared as needed to produce and ship the item. NAPREC may receive order, donation, and fulfillment records for administration and support. Do not send payment-card details by email.
Civic tools, videos, and other external services
Services such as Vote.org, Democracy.io, Resistbot, congressional contact tools, YouTube, and social networks operate independently of NAPREC. Information you enter into their forms or send through their services goes to those providers and, where applicable, the recipients you select. Review their privacy notices before submitting information. A link from NAPREC does not place an external service under this policy.
Use, access, and disclosures
Information is used to operate the website, respond to requests, deliver requested communications, process transactions, improve resources, and address security or administrative issues. Service providers supporting hosting, communications, payments, and fulfillment may process information for those functions. Information may also need to be disclosed to comply with applicable legal requirements or respond to lawful requests. Participation in NAPREC does not require you to publish your contact details on the website.
Retention, security, and your requests
Retention depends on the purpose of a record, ongoing requests, transaction and accounting needs, applicable requirements, and the systems used by service providers. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. You may contact us to ask what personal information we hold about you or to request access, correction, deletion, or an end to optional communications. We may need to verify your identity; some records may need to be retained for legal, accounting, or security reasons. Available rights depend on applicable law.
Children and policy updates
This website is intended for a general audience. Children under 13 should not submit personal information. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided information should contact us. We may update this policy as the website or its services change; the effective date above identifies the current version.
