NAPREC's equality perspective asks whether commitments become accessible programs and completed recovery work. The statehood connection
NAPREC supports equality through statehood. Puerto Rico’s residents do not have voting senators or a final House floor vote through their Resident Commissioner, and Puerto Rico does not appoint presidential electors. Admission would address that structural representation question. It would not remove the need to legislate program rules, plan a transition, or hold government accountable for results.
