A judicial confirmation is a federal institutional action, not a change in Puerto Rico's political status. NAPREC can recognize the importance of the court system while explaining the separate issue of electoral representation. Participation in federal institutions takes different forms, and one should not be used to erase another missing form. The statehood connection
NAPREC supports equality through statehood.
